CG Architects were appointed by a private developer to explore the possibility of erecting a dwelling house on this piece of working land, located at the Southern end of Totteridge Green.

The small site, which is situated in a small pocket amongst large detached houses, is within the Totteridge Green Belt, and therefore has been designed to be of low impact, yet contemporary.

The proposed dwelling is of a modern design with simple geometry throughout. It consists of an open plan living and kitchen space, three generously sized double bedrooms each with en-suites, a guest toilet and storage spaces. The kitchen is naturally illuminated by the small external courtyard and a skylight in the flat roof above. The new dwelling will be single storey with additional accommodation of a swimming pool and a utility room at basement level. The flat roof design is expected to reduce the visual impact of the building on the site and the surrounding area.
